By downloading, accessing, or using Hey Hudhud, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you use Hey Hudhud on behalf of a child, you accept these terms on their behalf.
Using Hey Hudhud
Hey Hudhud grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own religious study and practice. The app is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You may use the app as a guest, though some features (such as cross-device sync) require an account.
- You can delete your account at any time — see Account Deletion.
Content & the Quran
The text of the Quran is public content and is not owned by Hey Hudhud. We present recitations, translations, and transliterations from reputable sources, and credit them where required. Translations and recitations may be subject to their own licenses held by their respective authors and reciters.
Your personal notes, bookmarks, and reflections remain yours. By storing them with Hey Hudhud you grant us only the limited permission needed to sync and display them back to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrespects the sanctity of the Quran.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.
- Interfere with the app's security or attempt to access other users' data.
Purchases & subscriptions
Hey Hudhud is free to start. Some features may be offered through optional one-time purchases or subscriptions, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled under the respective store's policies.
Termination
You may stop using Hey Hudhud and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, or if required by law. Certain provisions (such as disclaimers) survive termination.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Hey Hudhud is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy in translations and recitations, we do not guarantee that all content is free of error, and Hey Hudhud is a study aid — not a substitute for learning from qualified teachers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hey Hudhud is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
